Getting Started

This guide will help you get started with the Physical AI & Humanoid Robotics book and set up your learning environment.

Personalize Your Learning Experience

When you first access the book, you'll be prompted to complete a brief onboarding questionnaire about your background:

  • Software background (beginner, intermediate, advanced, none)
  • Hardware background (beginner, intermediate, advanced, none)
  • Robotics experience (beginner, intermediate, advanced, none)

Based on your responses, the content will be automatically adapted to match your experience level. You can always change your personalization level later using the personalization button.

Using the Embedded Chatbot

Each page includes an embedded AI chatbot that can answer questions about the book content:

  • Ask specific questions about concepts you're learning
  • Request "answer only from selected text" mode to get answers only from the current chapter
  • Get explanations of complex topics in simpler terms

The book is organized into 4 modules with 4 chapters each:

  • Use the sidebar to navigate between modules and chapters
  • Previous/Next buttons at the bottom of each page for sequential reading
  • Search functionality to find specific topics across the entire book

Hands-On Exercises

Each chapter includes hands-on exercises that you can try:

  • Simulation exercises using Gazebo and Unity
  • Robotics workflows using the subagent system

Translation

Content is available in Urdu using the translation button on each page, preserving all formatting including headings, lists, code blocks, and diagrams.

To get the most out of this book, you'll need:

  • Docker for containerized robotics environments
